Munich to Frankfurt Airport Transfer

Four hours to FRA

Straight to Frankfurt, not via two terminals

Frankfurt Airport lies roughly 400 kilometres from Munich. Via the A9 and the A3 that means about four hours of pure driving time. The feeder flight takes an hour, but ahead of it sit the drive out to MUC, security and boarding, and behind it the baggage belt and a terminal change in Frankfurt itself.

Measured honestly from door to terminal, there is little between the two options. The real difference lies elsewhere: in the car there is no connection that can collapse, no second security check and no announcement that boarding has been delayed by a further forty minutes.

FRA and the city

Chauffeur from Munich to Frankfurt

We serve both destinations in Frankfurt: the airport with Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, as readily as addresses in the city itself, usually in the banking district around Taunusanlage and the Opernplatz. If you have an appointment first and fly afterwards, your chauffeur stays on site in between and waits. You then book not two separate journeys but an entire day.

The route runs along the A9 as far as Nuremberg and then the A3 through the Spessart. On the A3 between Würzburg and Aschaffenburg something regularly stands, which we factor into the pick-up time. None of that changes your fixed price. For departures before nine we set off the night before or start very early in the morning, both without a surcharge.

Our Fleet

From the elegant sedan to the spacious coach — choose the right vehicle for any occasion. Every vehicle is premium-equipped and impeccably maintained.

As a management consultant I fly a great deal, so I ride with them almost every week — and I'm extremely satisfied! The cars are always impeccably kept, usually luxury-class limousines like the Mercedes S-Class or the BMW 7 Series.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the drive from Munich to Frankfurt take?
Around four hours via the A9 and the A3, and a little longer depending on the traffic between Würzburg and Aschaffenburg. We factor that into the pick-up time. It makes no difference to your fixed price.
What does the transfer from Munich to Frankfurt cost?
The price is fixed before you book and depends on vehicle and starting address. Tolls, breaks and waiting time are included. We charge no night or weekend surcharges, not even for a four o'clock departure.
Is it worth it against the feeder flight to FRA?
Measured from door to terminal, both take a similar time. The car, however, has no connection that can collapse, no second security check and no terminal change. For intercontinental onward flights, that is precisely the point.
Do you also drive into the Frankfurt banking district?
Yes, any address in Frankfurt. If you have an appointment in the city and fly out of FRA afterwards, your chauffeur stays on site in between. You book that as a full day rather than as two single journeys.
Can I work or take calls during the drive?
Yes. In the rear of the E-Class and S-Class you have power sockets, a table and quiet. Only your chauffeur hears your calls, and he says nothing. On request he signs a non-disclosure agreement beforehand.
Do you drive to Frankfurt at night?
Yes, without a surcharge. For departures before nine, an overnight drive or a very early start is the norm. Your chauffeur takes breaks where necessary, and those are included in the price.
Munich to FRA

Munich to Frankfurt at a fixed price

Frankfurt is our most frequently driven long-distance destination, and the reason is FRA itself: anyone flying intercontinental can hardly avoid the hub. The feeder from Munich is the point at which the journey most often tips over. Twenty minutes of delay at take-off, and the onward connection to Singapore is gone.

Anyone who has driven this route once by car tends to book it again. Not because it is faster, but because four hours of driving are predictable and a connecting flight simply is not. You get in at six at home and stand at check-in at ten in Frankfurt, entirely regardless of what is happening at the hub that particular morning.

The second reason is the banking district itself. Appointments in Frankfurt followed by a return to Munich are a classic full-day job: outbound early in the morning, waiting time on site, return in the evening. Your chauffeur stays with you all day and waits between the meetings. You pay for the day, not for each individual journey.

For an enquiry we need the starting address, the date, the time and the passenger count, plus the flight number if you are flying. You receive a fixed price from us including tolls, breaks and waiting time. Up to three people travel in the E-Class or the S-Class, up to six with luggage in the V-Class.
